November 24th - Today we had our land blessed by our dear friend and priest The Reverend Joy Daley. Despite the rain and cold weather we ventured out to the property for this special occasion. Joy ended the blessing with this prayer. For those of you who would like to, we ask that you pray this prayer with us over the next month while Our House is being completed.
May the light and love of your Holy Spirit shine on the building of this retreat center.
Hear God's word of blessing:
The fruit of righteousness will be peace
And the result of righteousness, tranquility and trust forever.
My people will abide in the secure dwellings
And in quiet resting places.
And now may Almighty God
Encircle this land with love,
Bless this space with joy,
And build this structure in peace.

We can't explain the mist in the pictures. Maybe it's the reaction of the cold air and the rain, or perhaps we're catching a glimpse of the Holy Spirit that we believe dwells among us and in us.
November 26th - Last night at the Creative Quilt Guild of Ellis County Christmas Party, we got a glimpse of some of the beautiful quilts being made for Our House.
December 4th
Calling 911!!! We have a 911 address now. We are officially located at 1077 Cosby Road, Milford Texas 76670. Please don't send us any snail mail yet, we don't have a mailbox yet.
Today we purchased the land and are now proud land owners of 13.787 acres in Milford.

December 21st
Well, A LOT has been happening in the past several weeks. The foundation is being prepped on the land and Our House is ready to be delivered. Check out all the wonderful pictures below. We just got back from our first look at the house and can't wait for you to see it in person. You are not going to believe it! It's better than we even imagined!!!
First stop, Milford - to see how the crew was progressing. They will be pouring the concrete December 26th! Now on to Waco!
You are looking at both halves of the craft center/meeting room. You can really get an idea to the length of the room from these pictures. It is HUGE!! Ladies, don't worry about the lighting. All the fixtures are being replaced with end to end flourescent lighting and electrical outlets will be placed in the ceiling so no one will be tripping over electrical cords.
Check out the kitchen!! Are we ready to do some major cooking, or what??? Cooking for everyone is going to be so much fun!!

January 8th
Just received some pictures of Our House from our good friend Jean McKinney (Quilts N More). She and Suzie Harris (Just Stichin) stopped by the site yesterday and took a look around. The first picture is a view of Our House from the driveway. The second picture is a side view of the Craft wing and the third is a front view of the bedroom wing and the front porch that is currently being built.

January 12th!
Our House is OURS!!! We started moving in on Saturday and we haven't stopped. It's a real family affair. Everybody has a job. We have our husbands putting together furniture, we're unpacking boxes and my 7 year old and his friend are working on the landscape. We will be busy, busy, busy for the next few days getting ready for our VIP retreat that starts Friday. We will post more pictures after our first retreat. Stay tuned for more pictures next week.
